Made in Ohio

The Saturday of Labor Day weekend is a fun time for us.  We pack up our  supplies and goods and set up in Hale Farm and Village for the “Made in Ohio” event.

This year is no exception – we will be back, and excited to say we love this one.  The crowds come, wandering the path from parking lot to the historic village.  We were situated on the path, half way to the potter’s shop.  And the area is otherwise tall pasture.  Hale Farm and Village is a living museum and one of the museums of the Western Reserve Historical Society, located in Bath Ohio, south east of Cleveland.  Bath is located about half way between Cleveland and Akron, and this large plot of land is a living historic recreation of life in Ohio in the 1820s – artisans like blacksmiths, potters, candle makers.  Houses of the period, a church, and so much more, including historic interpreters.  Hale is opened most of the year, but on that one saturday before labor day it comes to life with art , food and music as only Made in Ohio can.

So pencil it on your planner, and make a day in the country, filled with history, food, music and great art.  If you visit and mention this post we have something special for you.
