Gardening Soap
Its beginning to warm up, and if you are like me you are out in the garden, digging and getting your hands dirty. When we began our soap making business the first formula of soap that Steve learned to make was a recipe for gardeners.
Our gardener’s soap is a top seller because it offers great cleaning power and has corn meal and comfrey leaves to assist with the scrubbing action. The fragrance is fresh and herbal. The soap offers luxurious lather and is individually packaged to assure freshness to you. Each bar weights 3.8 oz.

Did you know? Did you know that comfrey has been used as a natural bandage by the pioneers because of its size and ability to occlude the wound while offering botanical benefit. Pictured at the right is comfrey, which we grow in our back yard. Comfrey root and leaves have been used in traditional medicine in many parts of the world. In Japan, the plant has been harvested and used as a traditional treatment for over 2,000 years. It was originally called “knit-bone” and people used it to treat bruises, muscle sprains and inflammation. They were once called pioneer band aids because the leaves would be wrapped around a bruise or sore area. The root have been infused in rubbing alcohol and turned into a tincture for rubbing on sore muscles. We dry our leaves and grind our dry comfrey leaves very fine adding them to our soap formula.
Our soap utilizes plant based oils and lye, and essential oil to create a soft and gentle soap for your skin. Lathers well, individually packaged bars assure freshness to you. The soap is moisturizing because we super-fat every recipe… that means when you wash with our soap a small amount of oil is replenishing your skin’s moisture.
Each bar is individually wrapped in a light wax paper wrapper, banded with our label. We love the way our packaging keeps the bar wrapped until you want to use it. You can smell the soap through the packaging.
