In my youth by December 20th Christmas décor would have been all over my house, tins of home baked cookies, and plans for a big Christmas dinner in my head. Don’t look today. My life seems so focused on our business, which has been brisk this year…. so decorating and baking are not happening. I don’t even have a Christmas tree this year. But I’m ok with it.
So why write this post? Its a reminder that we have seasons in our lives. Some seasons look drastically different than others. It is ok to know changes come. I like the minimalism that allows me to live simply, and not fill the house with décor. And i certainly don’t need cookies so while I miss the tradition, its a health decision.
