The Serti method of silk painting involves outlining designs with gutta resist on white silk before adding colors. The silk is stretched on a frame during painting, applying colors one at a time. After completion, it is steamed to set the colors and fuse the resist, creating a durable final product.

Influenced by artists like Louis Comfort Tiffany, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, Alphonse Mucha, and Gustav Klimt, the author’s artistic journey intertwines with personal stories, highlighting the emotional impact of art across generations.
Silk Play days will be held in the studio, featuring a 6-hour workshop that includes lunch. Participants will create their own hand-painted silk scarf, measuring 11″ x 60″. Attendees can choose their design or bring their own illustration, ensuring a fun and personalized experience.
