Recycling and upcycling are different concepts… recycling puts the material back in the market as it was – cans become cans again, plastic bottles become plastic bottles. Upcycling takes a material and finds a new use for it, and creatively adapts it to a new life purpose. I found and displayed a number of examples on this blog post.
