Oatmeal is more than a cereal!

One of the most gentle and soothing ingredients we add to soap is Oatmeal. We buy organic oatmeal, and run it through a coffee grinder to turn it into a powder that blends into the soap formula. But why use oatmeal.

Oats are a grain harvested for their kernels, and to make oatmeal the oats are dehusked, steamed, and flattened , then rolled or milled. The oats are rich in multiple vitamins, including B1, B2, B3, B6 and K. In soap the oatmeal helps to moisturize, and is beneficial to soothe eczema and psoriasis. Oatmeal is known to reduce pores, and calm irritated skin.

One of our core concepts is to find natural ingredients that have stood the test of time of supporting healthy skin. Our soap with oatmeal is the mildest of the soaps we make. The formula contains just one oil – Olive. And we add the ground oatmeal, and a small amount of beeswax to the formula for that gentle. This soap came about when we began getting young moms looking for gentle soap they can use to wash their young children. It is known as a castile soap because olive oil is the only oil in the recipe.

Its so mild, and so moisturizing. You should try it.
