Leaving the mall
It was an experiment – in February we moved into a store called Blended located in the Strongsville mall. Nice concept – various sizes of shelving display rented for various prices. We picked a basic shelving unit and promptly paid our rent and merchandized the shelves. You have to understand that i tend to filter life through my own ways and opinions. Mall shopping was something i stopped doing in the early 90s. Partially that decision was to make wiser purchases, and partly because i was turned off by the massive consumer push. My shopping choices were turning more conservative, no impulse shopping. But the idea of having our products positioned in the mall might be worth the test.

We gave it 7 months, paying our monthly rent and not seeing even that much back in sales. Well actually August, the day after i pulled the plug, we out the august report and made $10 more than rent for the first time. Business decision was clear – we were losing money being in the mall, so it was time to leave. That said we pick up our display next week, and exit that arrangement.
If you were one of our parons at Blended please know our online shop is always open, and we ship free!!!

But my question is do you still mall shop?
