Save the date

One of the sure signs that spring is arriving is the one day garden event at Sailorway Middle School in Vermilion on Saturday April 26th. We have participated in this event since 2012 and just love the blend of nurseries with lovely plants – herbs, perennials, annuals. And artists and creative makers. The watercolor society of Vermilion is there in force with beautiful paintings and greeting cards. And Amy of Old Rusty Coop is there with her full line of candles (that smell so good). I keep one of her candles burning in my kitchen and it always smells so yummy. And Sharon of Pane in the Glass will be there with her stained glass creations. Marge Pauls with her greeting cards and framed illustrative work. And so much more. If you are looking to add plants to your garden its a must stop.
One fun feature of the event is their trellis raffle. The raffle offers 50-60 raffle items, from beautiful plants to paintings, to our soap and donations by other vendors at the event. When you buy a raffle ticket they reach to the trellis and take a garden glove off the trellis revealing your raffle winning prize. And the tickets go quickly and you don’t want to miss it. The cool feature is the funds raised by this raffle help to keep the many overflowing hanging baskets in Vermilion maintained.
