What’s my dream job?

What’s your dream job?
I’m living it right now- Artist/Owner, self employed, spending all of my energy and talent doing what I love, working with my creative husband.
If I can be brutally honest I poured on the effort to educate myself and train for a career that I was good at only to hit the buzz saw of corporate politics. It’s amazing how insecure some people are that they undermine every effort to succeed. But that was the exact fuel I needed to realize toxic situations don’t have to define my life.
After a rapid and rather turbulent change of career in 2010 my hubby and I began a business making amazing soap and allowing my artistic side to find a voice. Hard things don’t define me- they gave me courage to find my voice, and to learn the truth that we don’t hear often. That is there are good leaders and bad ones. Honestly after working with a variety of different personalities I can honestly tell you there was only one man I worked for that was fair, honest, and really valued the word team. sadly he hit the buzz saw of politics too but he made a difference.
But that corporate world is in the rear view and I am living out a life that is challenging yet very satisfying. And the amazing thing is that both of us bring our education and life experiences to provide guidance for the business. I love the expression “nothing is wasted, you just have to be agile, adaptive and always growing.”
