Discover BAYarts: A Creative Hub in Bay Village

West of Cleveland in the town of Bay Village, along Lake Erie is a great art community. Their website describes their campus as following:

“BAYarts campus is within walking distance of Lake Erie Nature & Science Center, a frequent collaborator, and Huntington Beach. Nearly one million visitors enjoy the Lake Erie shore on the northern end of the reservation each year. The mission of BAYarts is to provide a welcoming lakeside environment to stimulate, encourage and support professional and aspiring artists of all ages through collaboration, education and exhibition.”

The organization was founded in 1948 by a group of women dedicated to stimulating the arts and culture in this suburb as it was rapidly growing. Its come a long way, offering 2 galleries, art classrooms, a full pottery studio, and a gift shop featuring over 50 artists from the area. They also host gallery exhibits, concert series, a summer art festival and a fall fundraiser

Shortly after we started out making soap and painting silk we reached out, and were so honored to be accepted into the giftshop, and quickly built a big customer base. Several years ago they were making changes including eliminating our products. But this past fall we were startled with an email asking us to come back. So we packed a big box of soap and a dozen scarves, and headed off to deliver for the holiday artist market. BayArts closes for a week and transforms the rooms of the gift shop into a holiday wonderland, well curated and amazing. We are thrilled to be carried on after the holiday market and just dropped off a restock.
