Why Grandma Swore by Rose Soap for Skin Care
Ever wonder why grandma always had a bar of rose scented soap in her soap dish? We did a deep dive to find out the benefits of rose essential oil and the results are fascinating.
Rose essential oil in soap provides intense hydration for dry or mature skin, boosts skin elasticity, and offers anti-inflammatory benefits to soothe irritation. Its antibacterial properties help fight acne, while its aromatic profile reduces stress and promotes relaxation. This luxurious ingredient is ideal for enhancing skin texture, reducing fine lines, and creating a calming, romantic, and therapeutic bathing experience.
Key benefits of using rose essential oil in soap include:
- Skin Rejuvenation and Anti-Aging: The oil has a regenerative effect on cell tissue, helping to improve skin elasticity, tighten pores, and reduce the appearance of fine lines.
- Deep Hydration: It acts as a natural moisturizer, which is particularly beneficial for dry and sensitive skin.
- Antibacterial and Antioxidant Properties: It contains components like citral and eugenol that fight acne-causing bacteria and provide antioxidant protection.
- Anti-Inflammatory Effects: It helps soothe skin irritation, inflammation, and conditions like eczema.
- Mood Enhancement and Aromatherapy: The scent is known to reduce anxiety and stress, promoting a sense of well-being and relaxation.
- Scar Treatment: It can help reduce the appearance of scars.
Blending rose essential oil into soap formulas that include coconut oil and olive oil helps to increase the moisturizing benefits.
We reformulated our rose soap this year and call it Bouquet of Roses, with a clean and rich rose essential oil, and ground rose petals for slight texture. The formula is an olive oil, coconut oil and palm oil blend enriched by Apricot Kernel oil and castor oil.
