Log Cabin Gallery

If you have not stopped out to Penninsula to visit the Log Cabin Gallery you are missing a gem!  Situated at the top of the hill from downtown Peninsula, and immediately behind the residence of Diane Seskes, located at 1671 Main Street, Peninsula, Ohio 44264.

The Log Cabin Gallery is unique in that the actual log cabin was originally built in the 1850s in North Carolina.  Several years ago Diane’s mother learned of the cabin and the land owner’s desire to take it down.  She purchased it, had it disassembled and moved to Peninsula, to be situated high atop a bluff overlooking the Cuyahoga River.  Its a beautiful vista, and you can see and hear the Cuyahoga Valley Line trains chugging into town too.

The “Spring in Bloom” show is going on through June 8th and features the work of 22 artists with amazing things… from Diane’s brilliant landscape photography, to the garden art , amazing ceramics, vibrant quilting pieces and traditional quilts,  fused glass, paper making, watercolor, and mixed media.  My silk is there, along with an ample representation of our soap and shave products and several pieces of wire crochet.   Just go for the adventure.  And the artists are there, working with Diane.  So stop out, and you will meet at least one or two of them, have the opportunity to chat.  There is a lovely rest area in front of the cabin…. so plan an afternoon… come on out.

Hours are:  Thursday through Sunday, 11am to 5pm  (Monday through Wednesday by appointment only.  330-657-2670)
