Our merchandise made it to the Bainbridge Log Cabin
Recently i wrote about a funny thing i did…. not realizing there are two Bainbridge, Ohio towns…. I made a connection with a lovely woman named Jannie who owns and runs a christmas boutique in an old log cabin that is found in Bainbridge Ohio (in southern Ohio). Life finally slowed down enough to take a breath, pack two boxes, and ship off our goods to Jannie. Initially my heart sunk when I followed up the email notice of delivery with an email to her and she said “No, we did not get it.” Apparently she called the post office about the time i did… and mysteriously to our great joy the packages were found and delivered.
And since then Jannie has been so sweet to update me with sales. She even put out a press release advertising our products…
So should you be taking a road trip please plan to stop out and visit Jannie in “Christmas in the Cabin, located at 7757 Cave Road in Bainbridge Ohio.
Here is the press release she sent out:
NEW CREATIONS ARRIVING DAILY AT CHRISTMAS AT THE CABIN
Folks planning on making a trip out to Christmas at the Cabin will be delighted to find that though the cabin has now been open for three weeks, new items are arriving daily, both replacements for items sold out and brand new items. Janny Brizius, the cabin’s caretaker, reports that the latest arrivals from Barbara and Steve Bloom of Parma, Ohio are fabulous! Among these new arrivals are hand-dyed silk scarves (incredible!), exquisite wire crocheted beaded jewelry, and beautifully fragrant hand made soap which is wrapped in a way it would make a very impressive gift for someone special. Indeed all of the Blooms’ creations would be considered in the “really special gift” category. Many folks go the cabin just for that purpose — to find something for their hard-to-buy-for special loved ones… It’s not your “run of the mill“ items that are to be found there. Some of the other unusual items visitors will see at the cabin are quilted table runners and centerpieces, old fashioned topsy-turvy dollies, and some really special elves (for your own Elf on the Shelf!)
Artisans both local and from across the USA send their hand-crafted wares every year for Janny to sell at her cabin. Janny says,” Some of the artisans have been sending things for over 25 years, and though I’ve never met them we feel like old friends..
Christmas at the Cabin is located on the Cave Road, midway between Hillsboro and Chillicothe, just off of US Route 50 (4 miles west of Bainbridge). It will be open daily through December 14 (except Mondays).
