Living in the city with air scented of car exhaust, and bus fumes, noise pollution and crowds it is easy to loose sight of the beauty of nature. Yesterday we drove to our art fest weekend in Franklin, Pa, a small town north of Pittsburgh surrounded by farms and forest. It was our air bnb that woke up the desire to just sit and be still in the beauty of nature. Our home away from home is a few miles down a dirt road, with neighbors a few miles away. Without light pollution the stars were numerous and visible as we looked out the bedroom window last night. The air is crisp, the sound is stillness dotted by wildlife.
We need this respite from the bustle of life. We need the tranquility and beauty only nature can bring.
