Dragon’s blood resin comes from the dried, deep red sap of several tropical trees, primarily from the genera Dracaena, Daemonorops, Croton, and Pterocarpus, found in regions like Southeast Asia, the Canary Islands, South America, and Africa. This valuable resin, historically used for medicine, dye, and incense, is harvested by making incisions in the tree or from the fruit, causing the sap to ooze out and harden. As it hardens it becomes a resin, which is distilled into a natural fragrant oil.
