Mantua Art on the Hill Festival
We are so excited to say that tomorrow we are part of the Art on the Hill event in downtown Mantua.
Here is what the local paper said about the upcoming event:
“Mantua’s Art on the Hill” is almost here! On Saturday, July 10 from 10AM-7PM the DMRC (Downtown Mantua Revitalization Corporation) will host the 2nd Annual “Mantua’s Art on the Hill”. This day long celebration is sure to have something for everyone to enjoy.
Come and browse more than 50 artisans, many local and some from as far away as Florida. Wood carvings, water colors, handmade clothing, jewelry, photography, slate & wood pa…intings, leaf castings, ceramics, handcrafted soaps, herbal products, jams & jellies, Ohio Maple products, sculptures, pine needle baskets and much, much more will line both sides of the street.
Children will enjoy this festival too. There will be handled pony rides, face painting, make & take children’s crafts and more to entertain the younger audience.
Try your luck at the Chinese auction held in the old Mantua Grain building. Tickets will be $0.50 or 3 for $1. Prizes include gift certificates, great products and over 60 pieces of art, made by the event’s attending artisans.
Sit and relax to the sounds of awesome live entertainment. The day’s line-up of musicians are: 10-11 LeAnn Anderson & Joan Horine, Harp/Flute, 11-12 Steve Radcliff and Rich Stibrick, Guitars, 12-1 Marty Hura, 5-8 Voice Acappella, 1-2 Aurora Conservatory of Dance performance, 2-3 Laura Fedor, 3 Piece Band/Vocal, 3-4 Steve Radcliff and Rich Stibrick, Guitars, 4-5 Joe Pinter, 5-6 Roy Pancost & Friends, 2 Piece Band, and 6-7 Martin Stehli, Solo Guitar/Keyboard.
Come hungry. There will be a nice variety of local food vendors attending who take great pride in their culinary talents. Cannoli, frappacinos, Maple cones, sandwiches, smoothies and more will be available. In the mood for the traditional “carnival foods”? We have that too.
Hope to see you there- look for our white pop up tent. No, we dont have a sign yet, but I think we are the only soap and silk vendors in the place.
