Tremendous Tremont Art & Culture Festival

What a lovely weekend we had… weather was perfect – sunny and a bit cooler temps made for great crowds of people. It was wonderful to spend time chatting with old friends, and making new ones. And our fellow artists were eager to share their wealth of knowledge about the art business. If there is one really exciting thing about this business it is that most artists want to see each other succeed, offering great and helpful tips. Thank you to everyone who stopped out, visited, and especially thanks to those who made purchases.

Our shaving soap was a surprise hit – Steve sold out of all of the bars he made, and all 4 kits he put together. Who would imagine that bar shaving soap is so popular.

Another fun surprise was the Lemongrass Peppermint Salt Scrubs – sold out on saturday – steve made another batch for sunday and they were selling quite well. I think it is the demonstrations that sell the item… big bowl, spray bottle, and willing participants drew crowds… people love to try things when they are free.

So that was tremont. I took very few pictures (duh!) but will post what i did take here when i upload them.

And where are we next?

Burton – and the last A Day in the Country Market on burton square. This time we are consigining some pieces from a fellow artist Anne Creed. She is a very talented polymer clay artist, and lately has done the precious metal clay work that is phenomenal. Be sure to visit her website for more information about her work.
Burton – 10a to 5p on saturday in Burton Town Square – for those heading east take I271 to Chagrin Rd, and follow to rt 87 – take 87 straight in to burton. It is their apple and pumpkins sales days….
