Of Rain, Circus Tents and Birmingham Ohio

Well we took our portable goods to Birmingham today, and set up shop in our 10ft by 12 ft space… under a circus tent. Wow, amazing. I have never set up shop in a circus tent before. The Birmingham United Metodist Church Art and Antiques show is HUGE!!!! Three (yes three) circus tents make up the primary vendor space, and lining the perimeter are pop up tents with vendors… somewhere over 200 vendors will be there. Our neighbor was setting up and said this is a fabulously successful event they do annually. WOW. We are getting excited.

The other exciting news is that we did not get stuck in the mud like so many people did… the rain, AND vehicles parking adjacent to tent flaps made for slush and mud. Mud deluxe. Our white pontiac looked like a dog that just ran through a mud river! For those of you prone to 4 wheel driving, or jeep school that is probably child’s play but for a city kid with very little experience bahaing in the mud i was just thankful to hit gravel and then pavement…
