Great Lakes Art Fair – here we come!

Somewhere between the time you are reading this and the time it was written Steve and I will have packed up our vehicle, hugged our dogs, handed the keys to the house sitter, and headed down the road to Novi.  It is the early hours of Thursday and we are planning to be in Novi by 8:30 for our appointed load in time.  We love this one because we can drive our van almost right to our spot to set up.  The Great Lakes Art Fair is a combination of over 200 artists from the region, planned entertainment (always a motown tribute band!!!!), a kids art show, and some good food all housed in a huge convention like setting.  Novi is a newer suburb to the north of Detroit, with most of the development growing out of the farm land within the last 10-15 years.

This will be our third year attending Great Lakes.  We love that it is a regional kick off event for the busy spring/summer art markets.  And if you have been following us you will know that we also love the airB&B that we stay at in West Bloomfield, Michigan, just north of Novi.

Stay tuned – i am going to try to post a series of pictured from the show via my phone.  (That can always prove to be a technology adventure, but i am game to try).
