Burton A Day in the Country Market
The last “A Day in the Country Market” for this year will be held this saturday in Burton’s town square from 10a to 5p and we will be setting up our tent for perhaps the second last time this outdoor season.
What a fun mix of artists, produce vendors, antiques, and interesting things. Outdoor events would not be complete without kettle korn, and the amish bakery…. and the small town of Burton is so picturesque, and quaint.
This was our second summer season in Burton. We have made many good friends there, both vendors and visitors. And the weather this year has been good, with the exception of the July show, which rained buckets at the start – just enough to dampen everyone, and then dry up in the 90 degree heat.
Being west siders it seemed unlikely that we would travel east for events, but I am so thankful to my friend Linda, who lives in Burton, for suggesting this event. It has been a mainstay of our summer calendar and a good barometer of the real economic conditions of our country.
So plan to take the day, and come out and visit us. We will be closer to the stores, at the one end of the square… Mention this blog and we have a small gift for you. Yes, I will remember to give it to you this time.
