Photography Inspiration

About a year ago a friend gave us a copy of this book… The photos were so appealing, visually balanced, and encouraged us that soap making can be exciting.   What i took from the book was not the recipes and hints for proper sopanification – it was the stylizing of the soap in the photos for appeal.  Grouping, props, lighting, creatinb vinyettes.. it appeals so much more than straight photos of products.  The photo tells a story that makes the reader want to learn more.  The atmosphere is calming, interesting, visual.

So here i am, camera, soap, props, lighting… thinking through how to best light the space, lay out the scene and snap a few photos.  I love inspiration.   Sometimes inspiration just needs some examples to follow!
