Getting ready for Tremont
We are three weeks out to our most favorite event of the year – The Tremont Art and Culture Festival. It is a two day art and culture celebration in Cleveland’s south side neighborhood of Tremont. Located in the lovely 5 acre Lincoln Park which transforms into an artists village for two days. Silver smiths, Painters, Potters, and amazing art in many forms can be found. There is a constant sound of music, and the buzz of activity of street performances, and a large and pleasant crowd. Food from the basics to exotic and ethnic eats… its all there.
We are busy making soap, dying silk and working on packaging, planning, preparing…. we love these three weeks of prep time because Tremont is a wonderful time to catch up to friends we dont see as often as we wished… and to celebrate life and art. I wish you could smell our house… wafts of lemongrass, lavender, evergreen pine…. and so on.
And we are busy sending out invitations to join us. It is such a nice weekend, and so much to do. Even a kids village for the little ones… puppets, historical reenactors, petting zoo, art crafts… story time… so much!
Here are a few photos of last year’s event… chalk drawings, flamingo dance troup, visitors to our booth, and other booths in the event.
Hold the date, and try to stop out – Sept 21 and 22…. such fun!
