I have been visiting a friend who opened her chocolate shop in the 5th street Arcade, formerly known as the Colonial and Euclid Arcades in downtown Cleveland, between Euclid Avenue and Prospect Avenue at 5th Street. They are delightful vintage shopping areas that were built at the turn of the last century in an age when vaudeville was the rage, and Cleveland was a swanky millionaire town. The glamour has been polished up, and the 5th street markets are wonderful. In the midst of the new shops is one that moved from the old galleria…. Fra Angelica.
Linda Damiani is a gifted knitter with an eye for the beauty of fiber and wearable art. Her shop reflects an elevated love of beautiful things, and of well crafted handmade products. Her eye for fiber and her passion for beautiful things reflects her history of involvement with the Textile Art Alliance of the Cleveland Museum of Art. I was thrilled and honored to consign several pieces of silk with her shop and I look forward to a great professional relationship of vendor and shopkeeper. Thank you Linda for the opportunity to showcase my work in your venue.
If you have a chance to stop downtown please visit her shop and soak in the rich and lovely things she offers.
