Photo recap of Gracious Gardens

Last sunday we set up our tent in the front yard of the Shaker Historical Society’s historic mansion located on South Park Drive in Shaker Heights.  A gracious and elegant neighborhood filled with majestic architecture, and that sense of privileged people, and historical ties to an age gone by.  The event was called Gracious Gardens, a garden tour.  The home of the gardens has received numerous awards for their sensitivity to historic preservation, and restoration to an authentic appearance for their grand home.

To supplement the tour, which began and ended at the Shaker Historical Society, a small delegation of artists set up tents in the front yard and offered a variety of different beautiful things.  Weather was on our minds, and everyone who had a smart phone or ipad were watching that radar for clouds, storm fronts and potential rain.  Against a very overcast sky we set up our tents, and sat down to wait.
