More silk cocoon earrings
There is something quite mesmerizing about working with silk cocoons. The possibilities seem to be endless, and the potential of colors as vast as the silk dye palate I have. But that platinum dye is a favorite. It seems to fit the textures and the forms, to look like hammered metalwork. and the pearls and sparkles seem to dance nicely with the forms. I think my favorite is half cocoons, that have been gathered at the front and stitched, to reveal an opening at the bottom out of which drip seed beads, pearls and sparkles. But you decide:
