Experimenting with Crepe De Sheen Silk

Lucious, and much more interesting texture of silk. I think I have found a new fabric of choice to dye. Here are a few photos of the work in progress:

The floral forms are a deep violet purple, with a yellow to apricot center, and green leaf background that varies from a true charteause to a deep forest green. However in my light the camera seems to think the color is more reddish. One thing i need to work on is the actual photography – there is a sheen from the silk that masks or makes the photo look grainey. So back to the front porch on a cloudy day… seems that is the perfect lighting for diffusing the sheen of silk and capturing more accurate images.
