What are we up to these days?
April is flying by so quickly…. but we welcome the sunshine, and warmer temperatures. We have been busy in the studio crafting a few new soaps, and painting some wonderful silks, all in preparation for our coming adventures. We invite you to join us, and have a little fun, pick up something special for your garden, and just celebrate life.
Earth Day Celebration – Sunday, April 23 Penetentiary Glen Park, 8668 Kirtland Chardon Road, Kirtland, Ohio (Lake County), Noon to 4pm. – We will be celebrating earth day at Penetentiary Glen park. Its a beautiful setting, on the former estate of the Halle department store family. We are in a large tent just outside of the gatehouse, along with a dozen other artists and vendors. And there are tons of activities for families.
Vermilion in Bloom Garden Fair – Saturday, April 29th at Sailorway Middle School, 5355 Sailorway Drive, Vermilion, from 9am – 4pm. This is the 5th year we are involved in this great day of sale and fun. The middle school transforms into a nursery, and boutique, occupying the cafeteria and gym. A number of nurseries are there with the best the season can offer of annuals, perennials and herbs. Fairy gardens abound, as do hypertufa planters, and just about everything you can think of for gardening. We love our relationship with Vermilion in Bloom, and donate several things to their amazing trellis raffle. Its a double blind raffle… You choose a numbered pair of garden gloves hanging on the trellis – someone goes to a little box, and translates the garden glove number into the actual donation… and hand you your raffle prize. It can be anything from fabulous gallon size perennials to delicate watercolors. This year i am painting two scarves specifically for vermilion in bloom, and we are doing a soap basket.
So that is the highlights of what is happening. Join us if you can. We would love to see you out in the sunshine with us.
